Ingall's ETD... Worth It or Not?
Ingall's ETD... Worth It or Not?
Hey, searched around a bit but just wanted to ask to get a more specific answer. I have heard ppl talkin both ways about the ETD. Some swear by it and say it should be one of the first upgrades especially for stage increased ss/sc's. Other seem to be pretty eager to sell them soon after and say they don't do too much. I was just wondering str8 up what ever1's opinions are about this product. I am considering an ETD and strut brace probably. J/W. Thanks --
they suck..... you want one I'll sell you mine.... but be warned...

plus when its really cold outside it will make horrible popping sounds!!

Some that have had bad luck, have had their "brackets" in the kit bend. Then they puchase a Turbo Tech Racing solid engine mount, which has never had one structural issue. Plus IMO they are very fun to have, as you order them to the color you want, for a "custom" engine bay dress up
The Ingalls is a good addition to a stage 2 car , if your going any further than stg2 then mount are the way to go. The only reason i prefer the ETD is that it's adjustable for stiffness and comes off in a few minutes for long drives where vibrations might get annoying . From what i've been told and read mounts cause more vibrations but are more effective in higher HP apps.
I love mine. Much firmer shifts and way better clutch feel (less slop and a more defined release point). You'll still get some hop especially in the rain and when its very cold out but other than that I love my ingalls. Set at the firmest setting the vibes arent bad at all (makes it feel like an older sports car) and for the price you can't go wrong.
Some have had good luck others have not.

btw, the vibes are overwhelming at 1st, but they calm down after a few 100 miles, and the vibes lessen more you drive the car.
