As long as the tube diameter is the same for both the intake and the bypass valve, you shouldnt have any problems...

Someone please explain to me why you would want a air bypass valve on your CAI.
Thanks

oh, thanks.. makes sense, although I thought thats why they sold shrouds for the CAI. I know Injen has something. I think they call it a prefilter. Its a wrap to put on the filter. Not sure if that would work for the other intakes. I am thinking the filter sizes are fairly similar so it might work.

It probably is, I haven't seen the K&N dry wrap. I did read about the thing from Injen, extensively and it is supposed to prevent water from being sucked into the intake. Its probably a lot cheaper than an air bypass valve too.

Hey, sorry i didn't realize what you were asking for,i havn't seen much about these. The only part that may not work on you K&N is that you won't be able to connect it up unless you have the steel tubing to hook to on both sides of the AEM piece. If you find some tubing thats the same sice as the K&N tubing, it should work. If this sounds confusing its probably cause it is, i'll find a better way to write it later.

uh huh....I got mine from TurboTech. I'm going to put it in tomorrow after I get a few runs on the dyno. Then I'll get some with it on.

On that note, do I need to let the car learn about the CAI first, then come back and run it or will it matter..??

I don't think it will affect boost , but I think you may lose a couple of the extra added HP with a CAI with a valve VS one without. I think I read that on the AEM sight. Also, I live in FL where there is lots of rain and have had CAI intake with no valve on all my cars without a problem, just make sure to stay out of deep water, witch you should probably do anyways, intake or not. Were not talkin' about a frickin' boat here people!
