2008 Edmonton Motor Show: Where's Toyota's SPORTS CAR? :D
I've always thought that any and every car company should have a Sports car as their flagship. It speaks pride and promotes brand enthusiasm. The video was just a case in point How sad it must be for Toyota Performance enthusiasts, who have only a 12+ year old Supra to love. This is exactly what happens to a car company when the bean counters get a hold of R&D.
Here is a small list of Manufacturers that produce a Sports car, or performance based automobile derived from motorsport competition. Feel Free to add to the list.
Dodge: Viper SRT-10, Charger SRT-8, Magnum SRT-8, Challenger SRT-8
Ford: Ford GT, Mustang
Chevrolet: Corvette, 2009 Camaro
Honda: S2000
Mazda: RX-8, Miata
Nissan: 350Z, GT-R
Saturn: Sky
Pontiac: Solstice, G8
I'll come up with more later.
