I can get a brand new one for 450 from a friend who went larger. Thinking about buying it for my Turbo swap. How much power can i make? Good? Bad?

Too small for your application. Not even worth it. You'll need at least a GT2871R. GT3071R is even better though.

you can pay a little more for a t3/t4 and youll make alot better power...not to mention there is alot less involved with running a journal bearing turbo...and ball bearing doesnt make that big of a difference

^^^Journal bearings usually don't require coolant lines to be run, but ball bearing turbos spool faster.

I'm looking for 300whp-330whp max. Not looking to be extreme. Just want something fun to drive around.

Just a few off the top of my head. The Garrett and the Mitsubishi turbo will spool faster. My Integra with it's 1.8 liters of fury spools the 16G fully by 3500rpms and the turbo will support those power numbers you want. I got my real MHI EVO III 16G brand new from turbochargers.com for $510 shipped!

Precision SC50
Garrett GT2871R
MHI EVO III 16G

Thanks 2K. The GT2871R is on the top of my list.

I'm on Precision's site and i'm wondering how fast the spool is for the SC50 with the .36A/R compared with the .63 A/R

You should be right where you want with the .63AR.

IIRC my SBR T3/T04E 50 trim is made by Precision turbo and is the same as the SC50. It spools pretty quick. 15-16psi by 3500-3800rpm. It works way better then before on 18psi on the SC.

You misunderstood me, I meant would your car even put that down at that given PSI?

yes, its dam close to that at that given psi but i'm on a larger frame turbo (SC6031RS) thus moving more air, with more lag tho.

not much, the early re-build with ceramic BB's and the higher RPM balance helped out as well. the manifold swap made the single largest difference.

not.

stuck with the A/W unit.

different cores, but still the same.

i have an external A/W core ready to go once the KFI-intake manifold is completed here shortly.

you just cant beat an air to water set up, they'll absorb a dam good amount of heat.
