i dont plan on cracking open the motor....sleeve strength is my only limitation.

and thats around the 440ish whp mark. so my 420-425ish will be legit.

i'm here to prove that good power can be made on a stock bottom end lsj, its all in the tune!!!

thanks for the complement tho, its nice to see some people pay attention.

No problem man, I might be buying a manifold from you in the next month or so. Planning on doing the same type of setup, except doing a few things differently

its all about the gt3076....i got that with a .6/3 A/R on my new beastly build taking place at the moment. one of the big contributions to loss of power on the lsj is the wack-ass intake manifold, thats y i got the gmp race manifold...***** pimp.

but definatly get a bigger turbo than a gt25

me having some personal 1-on-1 with my intake manifold in front of the big screen\

and yes its a wide mouth, lol

a gt28 is was im taking off mine now, i hit 22psi at roughly 3k, on the 3076 ill hit max at around 3700.
but itll make more power on less boost.

It all depends on different variables, manifold, charge piping ect

meh, to tiny of a hot side.

the LSJ rides the 30R's compressor wheel REAL hard most the VE curve, i opted for a bit larger wheel to allow for some shift across the graph that the head and intake will do.

the .63AR hotside is also a bit on the choke side of things, the upper revs its really over that point and as you open **** up (manifold, head, ect) it gets worse and worse, a T4 at a .58 is truly the minimum for those wanting power with no upper RPM range drop.

just a few quick facts from my days of specing turbos

tis a sexy manifold tho.

11mm hot side differance, thats quiet a bit of extra required inertia.

"normally" you look at an extra 75-100rpm per 1mm bump so 825-1100 rpm on paper...so i'd guess a bare min of 800~ rpm.

the hot side size will play a massive roll in this. as will the larger compressor wheel.

lol that **** wont spool to quick on a 2.0 though. need to make boost as quickly as possible, if i had the 2.4 than id consider that. also theres no space in the engine bay lol

sure there is, i run a T4 with no issue.

spools just fine, no drop on upper end(starting to get just the smallist hint at 7300) and the rev drops per shift match its spool points dam near perfect.

quick is a relative term, you'll see spool by say 3700-3800 at the quickest, i catch full boost by 4100 so say a solid 300-400 difference........but i gain that back up top with no drop and no choke.

turbine maps are 9 times outta 10 over looked because they are a true bitch to graph out, totally different set of less well known calculations required, but your hot side is the life and death of your set up.

i had to dig up some 8yr old garrett doc to find the required calculations, not fun, but vary handy.

the .63 tis a 95% good housing i'm not talking down on it one bit, nor you for that matter, just making a few statements. I do wish i had the earlier spool at times, but that 2-3 shift makes me not care.
