Yeah, same here. I need to get off my stock wheels so I can dedicate them to my winter only.
I am waiting for the funds to start buying my HHR wheels. Then I'm gonna' paint them black chrome =D
And what wheels you going with? RE011? =)

The more the merrier! Haha.
I've thinking about setting up a Nelson's Ledges meet with Dirty25RS this coming spring.
For those of you not familiar, Nelson's Ledges is kind of a cheap road course in Garretsville. They, unlike a place like Mid-Ohio, have open track days and it's actually relatively affordable.
Might start gauging interest in that come around Feb.

I've never been out there even though its only like 10 minutes away. I wanted to take my R6 out there this past year but never had time.

That would be awesome actually. The track its self is decent, but the problem is that it's patchy. Random patches of unpaved/freshly paved road, couple of rough parts, dips, etc. For the most part, it's a decent track.

I'm guessing you've been out there? In a car, on a bike, spectating or...?

Cobalt hasn't had racing tires yet. Been poor and rocking the Blizzaks since having to replace the clutch and transmission, so waiting on income tax to buy wheels and tires.

Once we start getting consistent warm weather next year, Dirty and I will start planning. I'm thinking around May, because we still usually get snow in April up here lol

Are you looking for the HHR SS wheels? If so, those are nice. I was looking for some of those since early summer and could not find any used ones in this area. One set came up for sale, but he said he would not ship them.
So, I just bought myself another set of the TC wheels. This winter I will get the ones that came on my car re-finished. I like black chrome, but I want them done in real Black Chrome compared to the powder coated version. Usually it will cost about the same to do the chrome plating as the powder coating.
If I can not find someone around here to do this, I will just powder coat them a darker color, but not black. I think that a gun metal or something like that would be nice with the silver. I like Tommy's wheels, that color would look nice contrasting against my car. I just don't want to copy him. I did see him driving home after the spring meet in Columbus, and they looked nice. I just have to much silver on the car now.
I would like to go to Nelson Ledges too, I know people that ran there years ago.

I never got the GTP to a track after it was wideband tuned but it made 245hp/326ft-lbs at the wheels. Most guys with the same mods I had done were running mid-high 13's, a few guys ran faster with drag radials.
I'd hope to have about 210-220 at the wheels right now, so in a car that weighs about 1000 lbs less it better be just about as fast, if not faster
That GT of yours is going to own the snow though.

That's my plan, too, if I can get rid of the cobalt and the R6. I sold my GTP to buy a WRX actually but found out after my car was sold that the one I was looking at had a rebuilt title. Needed a car for school so I grabbed my SS. Every other day I'm selling this car or planning on modding it haha.

edit: I'm glad that deal fell through though, had I gotten a WRX I would have still been wishing I got a STI.
