Smile New TVS build! Advice?

Hello! I am a somewhat new member. I have a completely stock blue 2006 Cobalt SS/SC that I just recently bought and am looking into doing a few mods for some decent power for a daily driver. My goal is around 300 HP.

Here are the mods I am thinking about:

Engine:
Harrop TVS 1320 Supercharger
GM Stage 2 Belt
80lb injectors (E85) with EV1 harness
ZZP LSJ Dual Pass Endplate
ZZP LSJ S3 Cobalt Heat Exchanger
OTTP Option B Kit w/ brackets
OTTP LSJ Stainless 3" Cold Air Intake
NGK 1 Step Colder Plugs (BKR7E)

Gauges:
boost
wideband
fuel pressure
tans temp
volt

Exhaust:
ZZP Midlength header/dp combo OR longtube header/dp combo
1.75" primaries
200 cell cat
extra o2 bung for wideband
some sort of 2.5" catback (im thinking corsa)

Also wondering what else I should consider, here are some more things i'm just not sure about:
Pulley size for the tvs (either 2.75" or 2.95")
Motor/tranny mounts?
LS4 throttle body (i actually think you need this for the TVS)
Clutch?
Ported head?
Valve springs?
Upgraded cams?

AND OF COURSE A TUNE!

PLEASE LET ME KNOW YOUR OPINIONS ON WHAT I SHOULD DO, THANKS!

You can mod the airbox on a stock intake and it will support your hp goal just fine, I'm also running a lsj throttle body on mine ATM so you don't have to worry about that. Ported head from lsjion is definitely recommended also.

Also there really isn't a need for so many guages, I'd just run a boost guage, a wideband, and a interceptor. Set interceptor to read iat, iat2, fuel trims, and a few other things and have it set to light up for knock and you should be good.

yeah you got it all covered ... check out the official TVS thread as well.

if all u want is 300whp you wont need the head and cams. but hey who wants to stop at 300 lol

Stock engine mount with at least the front and rear mounts. You can go upper too if u would like. The clutch's life will depend on your driving and how worn it is already.

Gmpp clutch would more than suffice for a tvs build unless you are in a super crazy build

OP if 300whp is your goal you can pretty damn close on an M62 if you have e85 around you. No need for a TVS. Though I suspect you'll want more power after slapping that on.

If you wanna follow my build and see pictures, follow me on instagram (Price_is_Right18)

I recently bought a few parts

I currently have:
Harrop TVS 1320 supercharger with 2.7" & 2.8" pullies
Stage 2 belt
LS4 TB
#80 injectors with harness
ZZP S3 front mount heat exchanger
Option B with ZZP mounts
ZZP shorty header
ZZP 3" catted downpipe 2.5" exit (200 cell high flow cat with an extra o2 bung for my wideband)

future mods to get:
ZZP dual pass endplate
OTTP 3" CAI
some type of 2.5" catback...ill probably be taking off the resonator
short shifter
NGK 1 Step Colder Plugs (BKR7E)

my new hp goal is between 375-400whp

Ill slowly be putting everything on then probably going to get it tuned by Zach Mullens. He owns Specialty Tuning out in Davenport, Iowa.

Thats a bit harder to get too... your gonna need more injector and a bigger fuel pump, wouldn't hurt to do a return style set-up too. And plan on running e85 or race gas (110 octane) Also a ported head. And your going to want a 3 inch catback...theres a lot more involved to getting to that level look at ricebunners build thread to get an idea of a good build for that range.

You're maxed at 355whp with that setup even leaning on it. 325hp with the tuner to have listed.

Thanks guys for all the advice. I plan on running e85. Also I was considering getting a ported head maybe in a year or so along with the return style fuel system. Not sure what type of fuel pump to get though.

Anybody know how a 3" catback would sound?
If I got one I would connect it to the end of the 2.5" exit of the downpipe somehow...

Also Area47, how do you know 325hp is what ill get with my tuner Zach?

I have been down this road before, I know how it ends.

Zach has a history with this forum, and people on it, I very strongly suggest you search for the information before committing. I would be very advisable.

There once was a man named Zach The Traveling Tuner...

You've been warned OP

Alright I'll cut the ****...

OP, back in 2011-2013ish Zach was known for providing some of the worse tunes this forum has seen. Blown engines, poor running vehicles, and he had a knack for taking peoples money and not sending them their parts.

OP you also need a return style system as well

Oh and listen to those guys ^^^ ... They are both tuners so I'm sure they don't want to bash others... Since they are trying to be business professional or perhaps they are just nice people.

I am a consumer so I will speak my mind. Zach sucks.... Go to someone else.

I hope he magically has gotten better from a few years ago

Ive been told zach is pretty well known around the midwest. I have bought a few parts off of him and he sent them immediately, etc. I do somewhat know a guy named Bryan Higgins that could possibly tune my car. I've heard he's the best around where I'm from. Any reviews on him?
