Brake lights staying on?

Lately I have been noticing my brake lights are staying on, even after i let off the brake. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this on their cobalt.

I had the same problem. Bad Brake pedal switch. Probably took the dealer 5mins to fix. My rear center light would stay on when the car was off too. Try jiggling the pedal to see if it goes off.

Yeah my brake lights go off when i wiggle the pedal with my foot.
I will just take it to the dealer and have them fix it, if it only takes a couple minutes to fix

Yeah that is exactly what my friends were telling me. I was like there is no way I was riding the brakes and pulling away from you at the same time. Thanks for the input!

yea, I've seen quite a few of these threads now about brake lights staying on, both on the CSS.com and CSS.net forums. When I was having my problem, A friend told me its most likely not the switch that is bad, but that it was improperly installed at the factory. Either way, its good to take it in and have it documented in case there are problems later on, so that you have proof that there was a previous problem.

has anyone else noticed water getting into your trunk. I have noticed water getting into the trunk on the drivers side only. I dont know what it is, I have checked to see what it is. Just wanting to know if anyone else has had this problem. It only does it if i go thru a car wash
