did you mess with your brake switch at all when you were under there? Also check behind the insulation and everything where you bolted the pedal back up to see if you pinched any wires. Sounds like you have a short somewhere. Check your brake light fuse and make sure it's not blown

it has to be a spinched wire or the brake light swich...or you could have hit something(pinched wire or something to the the brake light switch react) that jolted electricity to the brake lights and instead of blowing the fuse it fried the second filament on the lights since they come on when you turn the headlight on but dont change when pressing on the brake pedal anyway goodluck figuring it out and keep up posted on what caused this to happen

Must resist Satan.....
You cannot resist... CHECK THE BLINKER FLUID!!! But seriously, I agree with the burnt out bulbs and a stuck/shorted switch

and MAKE sure your keys are in the ignition and on cuase the middle brake light will come one weather or not your keys are in the ignition or out, as long as your hitting the brake, but the other brake lights (as stated above) only come on when your headlights or on or just when ever you turn the key in the ignition,

Yes the keys in the ignition thing, is one thing i did not know so that solved that issue. Did a search and found out that from someone who was having a similar prob. The other problem i figured out was the retainer clip (cheap plastic) for the brake light switch was stripped switch is good slightly stripped will replace both. So a $1.40 retainer clip caused all my prob. I guess when drilling my brake pedal i pulled back on the pedal too hard, and popped it out. Thanks for all the info/help the switch will be here thrus. so i will be up and running again by the evening
