Oil Life %

SO I changed my oil the other day in my cobalt and went to reset my oil life percentage and it wouldn't reset. Has this happened to anyone or is there anyway to fix this?

x2. It can be a pain. Alot of times I forget and have to refer back to the Owners Manual.

^ This. You need to go into the menu and there's an option that says "oil life reset". It's different from resetting the odo or fuel econ, so that you're less likely inadvertently do it.

I see you have a 2006, so turn key to acc, press both reset and scroll buttons at the same time, scroll to oil life reset, and press reset. The DIC will say acknowledged

Mine is the 06 and i did the gas pedal thing and it reset mine. Only time I ever hit the 2 buttons it said English, I think and I just stopped there. I didnt know there was a menu in there. The gas pedal trick is the easiest though.

It should not have reset like that last time.

Yeah you can change a bunch of stuff, like lights or horn when you lock/unlock, language, and I think a few other things
