Best way to clean my engine
I have an 09 ss and I have never fully cleaned the engine. The most that I have done is armor all the hoses and stuff. I also have the K&N Typhoon intake. What is the best way to clean the engine. Can I spray everything with a cleaner and then scrub and rinse it off with water. Do I need to cover anything like intake, gm stage 1 sensor, battery? Any help would be greatly appreciated

No need to cover the battery unless u are washing out the trunk.
As far as the rest goes I just spray everything with a degreaser and hose it off. Avoid electrical connections where possible then blow water out of electrical areas you got wet. Then start the car and let it burn off the rest.

when i go to the car wash ill cover the intake with a plastic bag or something and just spray off the engine. does a good job.
make sure you check afterwards to make sure you didnt blow off any lines or something. lol.
also, let the engine cool down first. I dont feel comfortable spraying cold water on a hot turbo.

i've washed one of my cars and it wouldn't start afterwards. something got wet. i was always told if you're washing the engine, keep it running to avoid getting anything wet. the engine heat will help dry it out too.

There really isnt a good way to do it. U could use a pressure washer on like a mist mode. I would cover the intake just because water in an engine isnt a good thing obviously. And i would cover any electronics that u feel getting water on would be bad. Then thats it. But definitely let it cool off first. And do not leave it running. That wont save anything from getting wet except maybe the engine itself. But that will suck water in the intake and ur electronics will get wet regardless so..
