I wrote these for other forums since I run the detailing forum for my tundra truck. I figured I would post them up over here as well. They are written for a truck, but the same process and chemicals can be used on a balt.

If you follow these instructions, I bet that your car will be cleaner and better proctected from the elements than it has ever been, for less money and dramaticly less effort. I have only been on this forum for a while, and already I have seeen some detail confusion and wrong answers.

Yeah, I have heard of it. I dont think it's terrible, but I belive that there is better stuff out there IMO.

 

Brandon,the biggest problem I have is calcium deposits(water spots ) on the exterior glass. I've used glass stovetop cleaner which works well if the spots are fairly new but the old baked on spots (like my truck) are gining me ulcers.I've tried just about any thing I could think of.Any ideas?

 

Try some #0000 steel wool and Brasso. If that does not work, contact a local car detailer and get them to machine polish them out.
