Farewell My Bumble Bee: An Article by Tombomb
Farewell My Bumble Bee: An Article by Tombomb
Well guys, it has been a good run! The time has come for me to get rid of the bumble bee. I will miss her sweet, sweet yet aggressive sound of the supercharger and the way the 4 banger makes me giggle when it beats bigger and (supposively) better cars.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and with the cobalt and I havent found any good forums for the car I am getting, so I will probably be popping in these forums daily, just no longer as a fellow owner of these fun cars. Im an alum if i may.
With this saddness of parting as a cobalt owner, it was also very easy for me to say PEACE OUT! to the cobalt itself. I am looking more for comfort and luxury which (oddly as it sounds) I found after searching: My new Volvo S40 T5 AWD. It is still really quick and for some reason everything about it really gets my jollies off.. especially for the mods you can get for it. (www.evolvecars.com to name just one of the many sites) Expensive, but really quite worth it as they make the car look so damn sexy. There aren't many performance mods but the ones you CAN get have awesome gains. I will post pics of it as soon as I can but for now all I can offer is product shots (I will find the ones that closest resemble it).

This will be the final look im going for ( I dont know about the red lips yet)

Thanks Mike, I am sure I will still be on here since I dont belong to any other forums as of yet!
I had no luck selling it in BC here so i just left it with the car because I went to buy a car and ended up getting rid of mine a day later, so i left ALL my mods on... next kid to buy it hit the jackpot! hahah I have a stock boost guage and stock headlights that have no use anymore lol
work for bcaa huh? Sat in your new volvo enough today. No im not stalking you, im workin in burnaby till the end of the week driving for lordco and i drive down that side street that goes by your work all day. I seen the yellow balt with the projectors for the past week and a half, then you make the post about your new volvo, today i drive by and the volvo is parked where the cobalt was.

so you now are a gay school teacher??? (thats a joke amoung a few people i know, that all volvo owners are gay school teachers)
they are alright cars, just trade it off before the warrenty is up. as with any european car, the life of the car is when the warrenty expires. once volvos get older they get expensive for repairs and a lot of stuff has to come from the dealer as the aftermarket replacment parts arent as plentiful as most others.
one other thing to keep in mind is anything you come across on the car that is deemed "fill for life" or non servicable (ie: transmission, transfer case, diff) service it at 100k km. again, the fluids last the life of the vehicle, but as i said above, the life of the vehicle is the warrenty period.
