As much as i hate to put down a 370z...since i own one. I have to say this. The bolt ons that are avalible right now, dont produce much gain...i think the intakes are the biggest gain (15rwhp) Tunes are very limited right now because COBB and UpRev are still working on it...people that go to shops for custom tuning are getting a half assed tune. I should know, i been talking to a shop that is going to be tuning my 370z in the spring. The most anyone has made with a 370z + bolt ons+ tune is 50rwhp gain....people are putting around 270-280rwhp stock, thats 320-330hp. And i know people are saying hp means nothing...ok thats fine but i know for a fact that...lets pick a lambo gallardo (the slowest one) accels a hell of alot faster then a 370z. 370z stock does 1/4 mile in 13.7@100mph with a good driver. I'm guessing that guy with the 370z could do the 1/4 mile in 12.5@110mph. Lambo is still faster....so if you beat him and the the 370z beat him....he obviously doesnt know how to drive his lambo.

It is possible that he beat a lambo, they are not that godly of cars, yes, they are faster than quite a bit of cars, but... those modded SS/TCs seem to be holding there own it seems...

Well...just like we're saying to the OP...prove it. Pics or something...As far as I knew there was the 5.0L V10 and later on the 5.2L V10...I mean I suppose it's possible that there was a super low production V8 that many of us have never heard about...but even that's a far stretch...or you have one of their prototypes for some reason...

He thought he was racing the Lambo when in fact the dude was just cruising and the Cobalt did a ricer flyby

 

I know the 370Z in question, it has every bolt-on and gears, should be a low 12's car with a high one-teens trap, I'd believe it. The driver is a young kid that can't launch for ****, I ran him from a dig in my stock 08 Z and beat him horribly until about 75-80 mph before he was so heavily modded. He just keeps throwing money at the car to make it quicker, last I heard he was over $5,000 already.

Can't wait to get my Z on a little bottle and beat his ass anyway for under a grand

Is the V8 Gallardo a production car, yes or no? So who the **** cares if you have one in your shop?

 

And as far as the OP's car... it's quick. Beating some cuban who thinks his Gallardo is a fast car is not a suprise. A lot of people at the race spots down here get slapped around by far cheaper cars. Money can buy you a nice car, but can't make you a good driver.
