Had a kid come up to Buffalo yesterday from Rochester so we could put in some lowering springs and ended up taking him for a ride. Figured I would post up his feedback from my COTM thread to try and restore some faith here.

 

Outside opinions FTW because they're unbiased.

 

True story. I had a guy I work with say basically the same thing as that kid after I took him for a ride. He was also practically yelling "Holy ****" while we were flying around some of the corners haha.

 

3 more weeks again? it was 8 weeks, almost 9 weeks ago. this is getting pretty damn old. Is there going to be availability of the higher end versions? at least the SSD option?

Sooo... Months of waiting for a special adjustment that isn't going to be offered? Still no shock dyno or word on spring rates?

 

Parts hit US last Friday.

Should be at Stance this Friday after a long train ride from California.

We will have parts to built 8 sets. I am hoping to have all 8 in ready to ship condition by next Wednesday if not sooner.

any word of these working on the turbocharged model yet? you never let me know if you needed my car for measurements and stuff.

 

this probably deserves it's own thread if there isn't one already, so if it's not hard to explain what's changed in the ss/tc suspension wise (I mean struts and springs) any pattern change on the strut tower mount? spindle?

 

Well, since people are using TC struts on SC cars - including Ions - my guess is they'll fit.

 

Struts shocks springs are all fully interchangeable among all Cobalts, this has been covered MANY times guys.

 

for some reason people make it seem different. cool thanks!

 

Ionick05 from the other boards just ordered the TC struts/rear shocks for his '05 IRL for use with progress lowering springs and progress swaybar. Not a chromy OTTP bar with Pedders springs, but I a muchly looking forward to feeling it out after install/alignment!

I will be going over to STANCE tomorrow to pick up a bunch of sets. If these are ready I will scoop em up.
