Testing Turbo Wax

Ok just got done washing my car and I wanted to give a little blurb here.

Let me preface this by saying, as far as car care goes I am as new as my cobalt is. All my previous vehicles have been beaters that I didn't care enough about to keep the AC running, let alone wash them. So for my own needs I like something thats not too difficult or time consuming.

I recently bought their 22% off car care package for $55.00 after folks on here started mentioning how good the stuff is and how easy the oxidation/ bug remover bar is to use. Today I had the random desire to do some stuff to my car, painted my bowtie, took off some decals etc and when I was done I figured might as well wash the car well since its been a week or two.

The shampoo was great, foamed up nicely, got the car squeaky clean, worked so well i threw out the armor all stuff i had been using since I got the car. But what floored me was that oxidation / bug remover bar. That thing is just epic. I didn't mention it before but, I had a little incident like 3 months ago, went like this:

*driving down the road*
*squint and barely notice something puddling in the road 10ft ahead*
"Hey is that.."
*splash*
"...orange paint...."

Luckily those mudflaps took the brunt of the paint but, it still went up the doors and on the lower side trim. I had claybarred it before and it didremove it but, it was a pain in the butt to do. Had to keep spraying detailing spray, rubbing it with clay, rubbing harder, the clay would smush too much and id have to reshape it. Just a pain. So I used the bar thinking, yeah right if all that work barely takes it off this wont do much. Two passes folks. First pass it had an obvious feel that something was on the paint that did not belong, second pass glided right over it taking the orange paint spot off.

I wish I had pictures of the paint damage but I never took any. All I know is, I will be a returning customer for sure, I can't wait to get their swirl remover and fully detail my car!

Well thats the thing, my car is still swirl city. The bar is very nice and did a good job but, nothing short of swirl remover, a porter cable, and a fresh wax is going to make my car look good again. So until I have the money/time to do that, you will just have to trust word of mouth

Not sure at the moment if I am going to buy one or just try and borrow one from a friend or what. Might even just detail it by hand once and focus on buying one next spring.
