Has Anyone Heard Clunk Noise On Shifts, Normal Shifts Not High Rpm's That

More info on the problem would be helpful.

Can you feel anything or is it just sounds that you hear?

When exactly do you hear the clunking? i.e. right when you put it into gear you hear clunking? When moving between gears you hear it? when engaging or disengaging the clutch you hear it? Does it happen in all gears?

Also, since you only have 2300 miles the car *should* still be under warranty. I would take it to the dealership and have it checked out.

When exactly do you hear the noise? When you move the shift knob, or when you engage the clutch? Where do you think the noise is coming from?

You Hear Clunk Just As Clutch Engages As Pedal Is Reaching Top Of Travel. No Hard Feeling Like Side Stepping Clutch, Just A Clunk Noise. Mainly 3rd. 4th, And 5th Gears.
Sounds Like Rear End Clunk In Rear Wheel Drive Car.

Normal. Our transmissions in the 08 up SS turbo's are like this....many, many, many others agree. I believe it's the clutch plate slapping or something...try a REALLY slow smooth shift, I bet it won't do it.

Something to get used to.

I have this too.. personally i think its not normal. i think its the motor shifting... maybe poor motor mounts. anyone have a solid motor mount? did it solve the problem?

I just test drove an 09 SS yesterday finally and did not really care for the tranny. It felt like it was kind of fighting me most of the time. Also, getting into first gear even when at a complete stop required a bunch of force compared to what I have experience on other cars (and I've had 12 cars so far......). I was really expecting more from the transmission........It really turned me off of the car, amoung a few other little things........damn nice suspension though.........

I still to this day fight with first gear. It's very notchy and tricky to get into sometimes. For the other gears, the shifter loosens up a lot in the summer and as it breaks in. It's not LOOSE, but I can pretty much flick it into each gear now, it's really smooth but still feels mechanical and not rubbery, but that's how I like it.

I don't think the clunk sound is the motor mounts because if you play with the gas in first gear to get the motor rocking, it won't do it, but if you play with the clutch (engage, disengage) you'll get the noise. I'm quite sure it's the clutch, or maybe even stresses placed on the gears themselves (I find a similar noise when shifting into first from a stop light).

I Wonder If It Could Be Comming From Exhaust At Flex Joint, Motor Shifts When Shifting Gears. Stock Exhaust And It Cracks And Pops After Freeway Driving And Comming To Idle At Red Lights.

Yeah, the noise when disengaging the clutch is normal. I have a little noise on my SS/SC when the clutch engages and disengages. Even my old Z24 made noises when engaging and disengaging the clutch. Which brings me to my next point about first gear being "tough" to get into... this is a GM thing too. My SS/SC is that way, my Z24 was that way. I think it is the safety that causes that notchy feel.
