Will 17 inch rims with similar b/s and offset to the stock 18s fit on an 09 cobalt ss/tc

Yes or No?

 

I'm going to say no because they wont clear the brakes.. I could be wrong tho, Also get 18s they look so much better.

 

I've done some research and i found the winter tires that best suit my needs would be only available in a 17 inch rim size, so that's why I was asking

 

i have read on here that the shape of the "spokes" i guess you'd call them have to be a certain shape to clear the brakes.. I believe the stock wheels have a particular arch in the spokes to clear the bakes. to be safe I'd have the wheel shop test fit them on your car before you buy..

 

There is very few that will clear.

No... brake clearance... dont the new t/c's have forged wheels for that reason? idk correct me if im wrong please. thankss

 

No... Your brake calipers will not clear any 17".... I highly recommend putting winter tires on your stockers and getting some good rims for summer...

 

There is somebody on here that is running 17's in the winter that clear the brembos no problem, i dont remember his/her name but its a victory red SS/TC i believe... hope that helps some.
