Boost gauge opinion question, gimme $0.02

So I'm finishing up the ordering for my turbo setup and I wanted to know what you guys think I should do about the boost gauge. I'm going A-pillar mount like the SS (mine's a base) and I have narrowed my options of three different gauges.

1. White numbering on a black face
2. Blue numbering backlit on a black face
3. Black face with a 7 color option that I can change with a button on the face

Each has their pros and cons, but I wanted to see what the feeling was from other Cobalt owners. Price isn't a real factor here, they're all close and they're all the same size and work the same.

Thanks!

T

Where are you getting a turbo from and how are you going about tricking the ECU?

PS. Get whatever matches your stock gauges best

Ever check into the Zeitronix Unit?

It allows you to display your boost, a/f ratio and EGT (which are 3 important things you should have) all in one display. It looks like this:

For more info go to http://www.zeitronix.com.

I personally have it and love it One of the best $500 spent (for the full kit).

i would go with number 3, so you can change colors of the gauge when you want.

I think I'm going with Option 1. It matches stock best.
I can't use the SS gauge becuase it is controlled electronically instead of a direct feed from the manifold. Too bad too because that A-pillar looks tight.

thanks everybody for the imput!

The other option you may want to look into (if it'll work i'm not 100% sure) would be the interceptor gauge. Hooks up to your obd2 connection and can display quite a sum of things. I know they have one for the SS/SC but I'm not sure about the other models.

Number 1 or the Zeitronix unit. I think the unit would be a little better.
