Question Installing cabin airfilter...?????

I cant get the new one to go in....hell, the old one hardly came out. I almost destroyed it in the process

Do you install the new though the bottom or through the small ass gap you get when you open your glove box? I've tired both and no success yet. WTF am I doing wrong?

This would all be easier if it just ripped my glove box off

I can delete this tread if needed once my problem is solved. I know there's a few threads on cabin filters but non really seam to address this issue.

i couldnt get that retractable string to come off of that clip so i just let the glove box dangle like that and the old one easily slid out and the new one went right it. i didnt have to bend it or anything to squeeze it in like some ppl have said they have to do.
