Stage II installed... finally.

Well after ordering my stage 2 kit on the 29th of May, it is finally installed. The weather is crap here in Montreal so a full test will have to wait for drier weather. Early signs however point to BIG FUN! The most notable change is the bloody noise the blower makes now; it's a little scary at first! If anyone is considering this upgrade, check out Parkway Pontiac in Saint Laurent (514-333-7070). Ask for Tony, he'll get it done. Install was $188 taxes included, and approx. 2.5 hours. I bought the kit from Tom at http://www.crateenginedepot.com, and after all costs the total came to $952 canadian! I think this is a steal for the extra capability I've gained. More to come.

Second gear is breathtaking!!! I'm not even sure where it tops out because I can't seem to look down for fear of ramming everyone in front of me. Anyone thinking of an upgrade get this (or something like it) period.

As for cost:
To my door $764 CAD <--- smuggled shhh.
Installed $165 plus taxes.
Grand total $952.

I couldn't be happier.

Tom is setup to ship to Canada. Tony is a good guy. Their shop did the install in about 2.5 hours and I've had no problems at all...except for all the gas I have to buy!

I've bought mine from Tom at crateenginedepot too
Best service ever
There was paceperformance who has a much lower price but this was the worst customer service i ever deal with
and there was fredbeansparts who has the lowest price of all but they do not ship to Canada
So i ended up paying a bit more but the service Tom gave me is priceless

go http://www.crateenginedepot.com/
All the way !!!!!!

Correct me if i'm wrong but with the stage 2 installed it remembers me when i first test drive a stock SRT-4, no more

So i think too that this is too expensive for the gains we got,
i thought that i'll be able to reach top of the speedo but 230km/h
is the fastest i've been able to go which i've done stock in a bit more time

But compare to a stock SS/SC this is hell on earth the second gear is brutal

Mec,

It's not that the car is drag limited and doesn't have enough power to pull past 230km/h, but rather that the car is electronically limited to that speed.

I think the last post was right.......................I've had it up to 230 km/h and still pulling!!! Scary speed and loss of licence was on my mind...........It's true, how fast do you have to go. My only question is..........How fast can we get to 200 km/h???? Let's face it, that's the only thing we really want to know!!!
