Most noise after turning your car off is the exhaust cooling. If the car is really new it may smell just a little too.

how many miles do you drive it at one given time? You need to run the car for about 15-20 mile in order to get the exhaust hot. The smell your getting is probly the coatings from manufacturing on the exhaust pipes and maybe some build lube. This is nothing strange, the car and exhaust just need to be heated in. The smell will go away after the manufacturing coating and lube have baked off. As for the sound, that is just the exhaust cooling and contracting, this will not change over the life of the car, unless the expanding/contracting cycle eventually loosens the connections.
