Cobalt SS-SC Tires - Question!!!!

This may be a silly question, but I am confused. I know that in the US, the Cobalt SS-SC comes with P215/45R-18 summer-only Performance Pirelli PZero Rosso tires.

I have now read on both gmcanada.com and a review of the Cobalt SS-SC in Canada that say it comes with P215/45R-18 all-season performance tires???? Do the Canadian Cobalt buyers get ripped by getting crappy all-season performance tires that need to come off anyhow in the winter???? Or do these people just not know what they are talking about????

Also, if it does come with all-season tires, are they speed rated lower than the US Pirelli PZero Rosso tires? If thats the case, I might as well save a few thousand dollars and buy a 2.4L SS!!! If it's governed, that would be really dissapointing!

I'm going to be really P'd-off if my car shows up with shitty all-season tires. They suck in the winter, so I'll be buying new tires and rims for the Alberta winter, so I'd rather have true performance rubber for the summer!

Ask the dealer about it, ask him why you have to take crappy tires when you'd rather have the PZeros.

Look at your tires and see what it comes with.

Why is that? The performance, or the other tires are cheaper and longer lasting?

Ive dealt with A LOT of tires and I find that the Pzero Rosso wear out much faster then the other 2 I listed.... The mich and contis perform much better in the wet by far.... Michelin overall is a much nicer tire but it is more expensive... I dont neven know if they make a PS2 in our size... The contis are slightly cheaper and last longer... Shoot I wouldnt even mind a set of Falken rt-215s those are sweet tires too.... Its ok though.... Im at 4500mi and Im sure Ill need new ones here in about 5-6k miles....

Well I'm just going to be honest with you. First i would be pissed too if i didn't get the pzeros. They are pose to be a good performance (i don't know never had them). Then again everyones opinion is going to be different as to what they think is a good performance tire. Second I'm guessing they figured canadians wouldn't want the pzeros since they have harsher winters than the US. I'm sure GM thought they were doing you guys a favor by giving you an all season performace tire. I'm sure they don't think/know that some, maybe all, canadians have winter tires for their cars. OR they might have phrased it like that so that some canadians would think,"hey all season tires thank goodness their not summer only tires." Of course that would be false advertisement if they called the pzeros an all season tire. Even though plyboy-illest answered your question i just wanted to give you an idea why they would phrase it like that on their site. Hope you like the tires and the car.

What kind of tires do you guys think you will be replacing your Pirellis with when the time comes? I want suggestions on a not TOO expensive tire that will grip as much or more than the Pirellis.

I for one will probably be going wider for sure and will probably get some P-Zero Nero M+S like I had on my Trans Am. Good all around tire thats lasts awhile.
