I used the search button and couldnt find the info I needed. I have a stage 4 bully clutch and it has the plate for the slave cylinder. It works fine in the morning when you first start using it and as you drive it the clutch starts to get worse and worse to where it doesnt disengage all the way. And the more you drive it the worse it gets. Almost to the point where you cant even get it in gear. Any ideas what it could be. I vaccuum bleed the system but still doesnt change anything.

Also you have to shut the freakin car off just to get it into reverse.

 

happens to mine intermittenly to i believe it is a leak in the master cylinder of the clutch but can't be sure until its replaced.

 

what throw out bearing did you use?

I finally got an answer from tag on how to properly bleed the clutch. He told me that you have to disconnect the trans about 5 inches from the motor while everything is still hooked up and instead of bleeding the air out from the clutch pedal side you actually have to push the throwout bearing while the bleeder screw is cracked. That way you get all the air out cause vaccuum bleeding it just isnt working on these throwout bearings. Hope this works or else this will be a complete waste of a three day weekend.

 

thanks for the heads up man i just got mine intoday but wont install in for a couple weeks. did you install it yourself how did that go?

 

It wasnt to bad I already had the motor out when I did it so it was cake. Put the unit in as a whole so I didnt have to worry about putting the tranny back in alone thank god.

 

bumping because i'm having the same issue with a bully clutch i installed in someones car. I'm gonna try the method that tag recommended above and see how that works. I wish I would have read this before I finished the install though. Looks like a lot of work for something so small.

So did anyone above have this method work for them?

 

Well I tried this method along with the vaccuum bleeding afterwards and it definantly feels alot better but i still think all the air is not out somehow
I am never going to pull the tranny out for bleeding ever again cause it just takes to damn long.

 

mine seems fine it just seems to me how you drive it my car has not acted up for a long time now
