New cobalt ss 2.4

I have just purchased a black 2.4 ss 2 door 5sp. Current mods are GM intake and catback. Problem is, it isn't for fulling my need for speed as my old 07 civic si was( It was totaled :0 What are some performance upgrades to speed this thing up. My ultimate goal is 240hp, is this possible?

yes, with a supercharger or turbocharger kit but not just with simple bolt ons.

Probably around 180whp give or take. Alot would ride on the tuning.

if you do full bolt ons tune, you can do full build with a port and polish job, cams.

however your gold reallly depends on how you want to do it.. you can do it easily do it with a 75 shot of nitrous as well as all bolt ons and a tune.

you can do it easily with a SC or turbo... and get some big numbers with a built motor and that route...

hahn has their LE5 2.4 L ( same motor as the ss you're getting) solstice at about 408 HP on a stock motor...

and as far as your need for speed... less you had bolt ons and such they're pretty close speed wise .

but yes your goal is possible it depends on how hard core you wanna go with this

yes with full bolt ons and a tune you'll be running at about 180WHP or maybe a bit more or less depending on how awesome your tune is

That's so very true.
To the OP, take a lot of time to research and search some more before modding.

The blower swap from the 2.0 puts you where you want to be HP wise.

Thats funny. Cause I have been taking out 06-07 Civic Si's. Easy too. I thought they were gonna be more trouble. Two were stock. One had intake and exhaust.

All the bolt on will def get 200 crank HP. For 240hp. Turbo. Thats in my future.
