I like 19's on the Cavaliers cuz the look the best. Im not sure about the cobalt SS, but Im sure the 19's would look just as sexy on it too.

Lightbulb

This is a repost from myself, just from the Appearance forum.

The Racing harts wheels do look hot on the Cobalt SS. If you zoom way in on the wheel, you can see that RH wheels on that SS are actually 19' wheels with some sweet looking tires. Another reason why I think they looks so good on it. To bad the SS wont be coming with 19's and kick ass looking tires like those.

18's cuz it seems to be the magic number to be considered a serious performance car. Not to mention go big or go home.

i love 18" because they aren't too big and try to be like "oh look at me" but they're just big enough to get noticed.

I say 17s. Just going up 1" makes a whole lot of difference in rotational mass. I'd go 16" if I'm seriously racing. That's the smallest I can go in my car (for the front wheels at least).

I don't know how much bigger your guys' tires are but 17s look fine on my car.

on a cavy i have to say 18's are the best size,as far as looks....even though people put 19's on them, i really dont see the point with adding an inch, especially with a 19" rim with a lip. but the cobalt perhaps since the ss will come out with 18's you might can get away with possibly 20's, since its only +2

I agree, 17s is where its at. You get that nice look and excelent performance. 19s are definately pushing it, especially if you like autocrossing and stuff... way too much mass on those puppies. I still wouldnt mind a slick set of 18s

the stock 18"s look pretty sweet, but the mass is noticable. a set of sub 10# 15" rims would be killer on the track but not sure 15s would even fit on the car...sure would lower the gear ratio for some instant acceleration on slicks!

17's are the way I'm going. Compared to 18's they aren't too big and you can't really tell the difference unless you have them right next to each other.

i voted then started reading , then saw your post , went back and looked at the dates

17's are the best for comfort and performance , 18's you have to worry about pot holes and road ruts to often

18's or larger are better for show or for trucks

17s.. One word... Sidewall. That and I can actually drive the car on average roads without worry of breaking a rim.
