Why do you need to replace your seat?

Everytime I go to ask about a part number for the Recaro seats, I get told there is none...../shrug. Then again, I don't have them to begin with.

Ok, last June I had a party and it was the first time anyone had seen my car. I was talking to some ppl in the driveway and a couple of people asked to go look at it I said sure its open. I should of never of done this without supervising it LOL... Someone burned a nice hole in the driver seat with a ciggarette!!! I could of killed someone , I still get pissed looking at it everytime I get in my car!

Went to the dealer, they want $410 to recover the bottom half of the seat! Like that will happen!

I went to three different trim shops, they can not get the fabric for the Recaro's.

Called Recaro seat company themselves, well turns out I can't buy a yard of fabric from them because it is a GM fabric.

So, I either am stuck with the burn hole, or forking out $410 for the bottom portion to be recovered. I am just curious how much one seat is? If, it is resonable then I would just go that route....

Its a Recaro seat so if I had to guess I would say near or over a grand each... I know that doesnt help but just look at the prices of other recaro seats out there..

gm doesnt sell the seats as complete units , they sell each piece seperatly

you should be able to go into the dealer and order the lower seat cover , and replace the cover yourself , they are pretty easy to swap

Why pay $1400 for the "stock" Recaro seats when you can buy aftermarket racing seats for less than $500 a peice so the pair plus hardware would put you at less than one "stock" seat.

Compared to what your faced with . I would let the dealer replace the bottom for the $410 they quoted . You WILL NOT get a brand new complete seat for less . Even used these seats are running close $1000 for the pair .

For that kind of $$$, you are close to affording some race seats WITH sliders and brackets...

Exactly LOL...Plus I love these seats, they make the interior of the car. I may just have the dealer recover it for the $410, I just trying to see what I can do....

No, racing seats for me! I like to keep the car clean, looking inside and out...
