0-60 times, good in general but not great for Lb/Hp of car

I am not complaining about a 5.7 second 0-60, its better then any car I have owned, but the cobalt ss has a power to weight ratio of 11.44. Many cars in this range have 0-60 times around 5.1-5.3 seconds. I understand that AWD and RWD cars are much better at keeping the rubber on the road, but for a car with a performance suspension and a lsd is there any way to get better?
Only solution is to get a raptor shift light with launch option...
5. anything is fast for a fwd in the late 90's porsche was sellng cars that did 0-60 in 4.7 seconds for 100k.. So 23k for 5.5 ... It is pretty damn good I think for a fwd

Not really. The weight difference between them is only equivalent to 5 or 6 gallons of gas. Too many other variables.
FWIW, 0-60 is much more a test of traction than power. Obviously it takes power, but FWD/RWD/AWD will have drastically different 0-60 times with the same power. For instance, my '02 WRX would pull 5.5 0-60's (1.8 60' times) but would only pull 96mph traps (only 227 hp).

Are you talking about an 08 or 09? Because there is some key differences between both, other than bluetooth capability of course. The 09 has built-in launch control to have better launches from a stop. The "no-lift" shifting also helps create quicker track times by allowing the driver to keep the accelerator down. The 09 also allows drivers to choose between 3 suspension modes: standard, aggressive, and free control (no stabilitrak).
I don't see how anybody could possibly complain about the performance of an 09 Cobalt Turbo. The technology in that car is unbelievable for the price.
I just have to wait 2-3 more weeks for my white SS Turbo coupe to arrive...

welcome to regretting buying a FWD performance car for the duration of your ownership
dont worry, we all fell for it too, the only cure, is making sure you never, NEVER make the same mistake again.

I agree. The SS/TC is meant to be an affordable racing performance vehicle - and I think they nailed it right on. It wasn't built with drag racing in mind...
