0-60 times with trifecta and gms1

looking everywhere for info on this, anybody know what the times would be 0-60 and 1/4 mile for a trifecta tune and the gms1? I know stock is 5.4 and 13.9, would the gms1 bring that down to 5.2 and 13.4

i dont know exact time on this stuff but im sure depending on ur mods the times would varey. a complete stock balt with just a tune will be slower then a balt with a tune and intake.

well atleast i would assume so.

doubt 0-60 would change a whole lot... more power = spinning right into third gear lol. 60ft times out thye window never mind 0-60 lol. theoretically better tires would do the trick. even stock the car pushes those tires to the limits of cohesion in a straight line.

not trying to thread jack at all i have just have a quick question about the tires. what tires would be the best for a 24 psi tune? they prolly gotta be so damn soft lol

drag slicks or radials lol..... in a straight line anyway. GL getting slicks for a 17"rim that will fit in your wheel well though... some people use motorcycle slicks as a solution..

otherwise its a pretty heated discussion on what "street tires" are best for drag racing and so forth as none of them are really made for anything more than well balanced handling/ acceleration.. some DR are street legal but generally make handling suffer allot more due to not having a stiff side wall. you can just go a little wider 235/40 r 18 with a good quality street tire (on the softer side) and get improved acceleration.... sometimes

Will going to a wider tire affect handling in a negative way?

A wider tire will almost always result in better handling, but these cars are limited - sizes bigger than 245 will rub.

yeah 245 can rub in most situations. if you got wider than 235 you shoud also get a wider rim factory sstc is 7.5 wide. you should go to an 8 wide rim if you want to go a wider tire. or the tire will pucker reducing the amount of tread actually in contact with the pavement.

better handling is relative as it can be adversly affected by weather/ road surface / temperature... so on and so forth.

basically a wider tire will have atendancy to track into imperfections on the road and more likely to hydro plane on water. but in good conditions they should have more tread on the ground therefore more forward traction (depending on how soft and what tread pattern) and if equally stiff or stiffer side wall than factory cornering should theoretically be better as well when driving agressive.

wider the tire the more steering feel you will generally lose though..

Starting these cars from a roll is useless, anyway. First gear is just too short.

+1 First gear blows in these cars. I can't stand how short it is.
