Ok so this has happened twice now to me. I have hit full boost for less than a 1 second or so and the car has shut off with the oil light coming on. The first time it did it I hit full boost let off and it shut off coming up to a light. Car didnt want to start back and when it did would stay running. After pulling over and doing a quick visual check everything was on I get back into the car and it starts and runs fine. Then a month later same thing happens, but this time im rolling 35mph when it shuts down, started it back up as im rolling and just kept right on going. i have noticed that when it does this when I shut the car off there is a huge backfire sound out of the exhaust. Car has zero codes except for purge junk. Anyone else had this issue and figured it out?

 

Have u done the ignition recall?

 

Purge junk like the evap purge selenoid? Because that SOB will make your car run like complete crap. Fuel trims all over the place. Backfires, misfires etc.

Start there and report back.
