09 SS/TC Gauge cluster question

I was wondering if I could swap a gauge cluster from an 06 2.4l ss into the new ss/tc. I know that you cant do it to the 07 cause the DIC wont work but I was wondering about the 09 cause I thought the DIC is on the radio. Just a thought. Those white faced gauges would look nice in a white balt. Which Im lookin to get soon. Thanks guys.

I don't think you can, just because of all the new stuff the SS/TC brings (Traction Control, Competetive Mode/Launch Control).

But you could always buy blackcat gauges when they come out for the 09 Cobalt SS/TC.......

You're on crack!

The DIC is in the cluster for 08-09...not the radio.

Yea the DIC is still in the same place.

And I'd say just go with blackcatcustoms. I bought one of there setups. Pretty good. Only problem is putting back the arms is a little hard.... like I think i read 2 mph off and my tack don't move some times lol. Over all there good tho.

If all you want is just white face gauges then that shouldn't be a problem. Ive seen a few company on that net that sell just the white faces that you can put in to replace the stock one. Only hard part Ive heard is getting the needles set to work accurately again but people have pulled it off so Im sure its not that hard.

But to answer your question the answer is NO, you cannot swap them. Also the 2.4 only reads to 140 while our is 160.

I will check out those black cat gauge overlays. I had something like those on my 97 s10 but they take some time to get installed correctly and a member on here is selling the gauge cluster for 60 bucks, so this is why I asked.
