120k miles on the LNF; what can I do to keep it running for a long time to come?

I replaced the spark plugs around 115k miles. I do the oil change every 5k miles or so.

The car isn't giving me any major issues currently--- knock on wood that it never does. It does need the catalytic converter replaced soon enough, though.

I want this car to continue running for years and years, miles and miles, boosts and boosts to come.

What preventative steps should I take now that it's hit 120k miles?

Note: I bought the car used and it didn't have the owner's manual.

Well i would say the normal spark plugs, oil, coolant, etc not much other than the regular maintenance to do remember that everything inside the engine is a wear part so eventually something has to give. The less abuse you give and the best you can take care of it the better. Maybe not going into boost at low rpms could help

Fuel filter
LCA bushings
Ball joints
Strut tops
Tie rod ends
Get the intake valves cleaned up gm has a top engine clean that's real good to use.
I'd replace all the engine an trans mounts also

pretty much keep doing what your doing and put a bigger turbo on it.

like others said clean valves, change fluids, to do the fuel filter you need to drop the tank as the filter is built into the pump.

All filters need changing if they're functioning properly.

I am pretty sure the transmission fluid doesn't need to be changed for the life of the transmission from what I've read from GM

There''s so much aftermarket parts support for these cars that as long as the body shell doesn't rust out I'll have by Cobalt for a long long time.

100k is about as long as I would let it go. It makes the shifts smooth again.

First of all, if u read my post correctly I wasn't talking about the oil change or oil filter. I obviously understand preventative maintenance but when it comes to the actual fuel filter I legitimately don't know why it would need to be replaced if there's no issues with it. That's all I'm saying... N yes, I have not seen a dirty fuel filter before hence why I'm asking.

On the LNF its in the fuel tank so no one is going to be replacing it

If you own a car with a serviceable fuel filter, you should be. Hanging it. Usually every 30-50k miles. My LS was disgusting t 50k. Very easy to service too

Yeah man, something about Chevys and their fuel pumps. The filters always kill the pump in time.
