Nice write up and thanks for sharing! I am sad and glad that the car performed the way it did. I am sad because it may give me a good run the way my car sits now. But I am happy to see that GM improved most of the things that weakend the SS/SC.

They did offer red interior on a black cobalt ss, i have one, and i hope they offer is again. If they're smart, there will be stage kits for this car.

For the ppl that are clearly confused on the "nolift shift" this is not a "dummy move" or whatever by GM this has clearly been designed to help prolong clutch integrity and also give you the fastest more efficient way to accerlerate at WOT... Its a Algorythm in the computer like EVERYTHING else in the damn car...


Thats like saying traction control is pointless cause we all can get super grip tires, or know how to downshift/control the throttle properly... Or even better power windows are GAY I want the old wind downs back.... Sheeesshh...

no lift shift is a good idea, and also a good sales feature..

 

na not really...its just a way of breakin stuff...gm just brain washed all u people that think no lift shifting isnt the same as power shifting

 

The SS/TC looks nice, but I could never justify buying it at it's regular sticker price.

Because the $2,500 in rebates I got on my 07 SS/SC made my car a steal.

And even if you include my Stage 2 ($900 dealer installed) I'm still $1,600 ahead of the game.

Now all I have to do is get the dealer to replace the clutch in my low miles car ...

The wheels dont look good imo, i wish they would have changed the body since its a "new" car. I love the seats though, i wonder how much they would be to swap with mine

GM list a 1/4 mile trap speed of 102 along with their 14.1 . Look at my et for my 102 . If u dont run 13's in this car off the floor u cant drive period ....guys up in the mountains excluded After seeing how the power is limited in 1st to 220 , 240 in 2nd , that explains the slo ET and the nice mph . A full tune on this car would be fairly interesing . Hopefully the bosch pm gets >fully< cracked by HPT .

 

Exactly what I was thinking! It looks way good though. I just can't wait to see how it starts responding to mods.
