After reading through every review and post on this forum, I decided to get the SS T/C and finally found one. Thanks to everyone for all the info.

One Question though..

Its got a loud tick to it especially when it starts up, after a few minutes it get quiet but its still there. The A/C isn't on. I remember reading somewhere that this is normal, but is it really and if it is what is it?

seriously, no one can read anymore.

 

we're probably going to get alot of these, so glad you made it a sticky. i can totally see people driving hard, and then someone telling them their car is making sounds.

it will probably be really loud with the hood open too but like said, it's normal and nothing to worry about.

 

ahhhhhhhhhh my car is boken!!!!!!!! my dads gonna kill me!!!!!!! why is my car ticking?? is it going to blow up like in the fast and the furious?????

that is exactly what i can picture a couch car expert telling some1....dude i heard my friends car do that and 2 days later it caught on fire and blew the rod out of the block!!!!

 

i cant wait for the people that will take their ss/tc into warranty for "a ticking noise" only to be told thats how the car sounds.

 

friend of mine works at bennett chevy, he said the new car manager brought one into the bay because it was making"a weird clicking noise" lmfao!!! he sells the cars!!

 

when I showed my brother my car for the 1st time, I cranked it and then popped the hood... he was like "I hear metal clinging, you better take it in immediately"...

 

direct injection is gonna surprise a lot of people in all the newer vehicles it is starting to come in

Sounds kind'a like a small heart beat. At normal operating temp, Click, click, click, every 2 seconds. Ah! IT'S ALIVE!!!!!
