Canada 2009 Cobalt SS K&N Typhoon Intake HELP!!!!

Hey everyone. So here's my problem. I can install the intake with no problems, cause there is a great video on you tube, but ... there is an open hose where the air box connects to on the bottom near the tire. Is that supposed to be there, or do I have to take it out?

Please help. I don't know how to take that hose out if it's not supposed to be there or what it's called. Anyone have this problem. K&N has nothing about it on there install.

Thanks.

Probably the rest of your airbox in the fenderwell just leave it

what he said, its not important to take out. Its the stack to your airbox which you already removed to install the intake. If you really want it out, you gotta take the bumper off, I believe, to get to it.

That's the snorkel that directs air from the bumper to your filter, definitely won't hurt to leave that in there. Since the K&N doesn't seal you'll get some engine air, but at speed the majority will be fed through that tube.

It's fine.. leave it as others have said.. and kinda acts as a cold air inlet, somewhat so anyways.

Left mine in there .... it's not hurting anything and like others have said .... it will prolly direct air towards the intake at cruising speed. If you really want to take it out just remove the headlight and headlight bracket and it's right there...... Guess I miss read the bumper comment.
