2010 SS/TC Exhaust

I've got a 2010 SS and am looking to get a 3" catback. I was looking at the Hahn 3" exhaust system but am looking for something a little louder. I used to have an 07 SS/SC w/ a Megan Racing exhaust which is just the right loudness for me. I saw sukxhost's vids on youtube and am wondering how much louder you guys think the megan racing is over the hahn? Also, would a catless downpipe make the exhaust louder or not really?

catless dp would make it louder. and the megan is much louder than the hahn. my ss/sc had the megan, my ss/tc has the hahn. much different. but the hahn sound gets you. You learn to like it a whole lot.

i have the hahn catless and catback, it's got a nice burble on a cold start, but other than that it's not too loud. it sounds real good under load though, but not loud enough to draw a ton of attention from the popo.

DP....Stock exhaust is an extremely nice setup (2.5" mandrel all the way back). For SS/TC's the 3" isnt going to add much power for the cost of the system. Its more of sound/looks, which can be accomplished on the stock exhaust setup w/ a muffler change. The DP will make a difference in power/sound.

Is the stock exhaust system made out of stainless steel?

If not, is there a bolt-on cat-back kit that is made out of SS and won't drone?

That makes sense. A lot of the former Big 3 engineers and quality folks that work here keep telling me that almost no OEMs use stainless for their exhaust. I guess that is why they're former Big 3 employees?

My guess is stainless is more like the exception to the rule when it comes to stock exhaust setups.
