After 16 weeks...
Congrats!
I had the worst time waiting for mine because it was one of the first few that was held at the plant for quality audits...then ones produced AFTER mine started showing up at the dealer I purchased mine from...
That just screams poor customer service if you ask me...shipping out cars coming off the line while SOLD units sit in the lot waiting to get a spot on a train car...
I made my first payment 2 weeks after I picked her up...

hey wats wrong with black lol plus all the ones that i have seen on this site have been mostly yellow i cant wait to see a sexy white one. mmmmmmm....
The car will still be essentially the same, but the 09 will get avaiable USB radio, standard Bluetooth technology, and the available Reconfigurable Performace Display. I would've bought the 08, but the only ones left in my area were the ricer yellow and the victory red. I've owned three red cars and yellow is NOT for me.

Yellow is a traditional sports car color...
I've seen a lot of black Civics...does that mean black is ricer?
kinky
no need to get all but hurt it was a little joke.
yellows can vary remember.

congrats
There were plenty of orange muscle cars. But in all honesty, a Cobalt SS, SS/SC, SS/TC........they aren't designed to be "American Heritage" style cars. They're Chevy's sport compact offering to compete with Mazdaspeed3's, RSXs, EVOs, STIs, etc etc.

Anything with a Chevy Badge is "American Heritage" in my opinion. On top of that, the days of 6 liter V8 heritage cars are over...those will sell to the 55 year olds who have the cash to fill the tank, but the younger generation has a different view on performance cars...
I view the Cobalt SS as the new, fuel sipping American Muscle.
First of all, all orange muscle cars are actually orange...not rust color...big difference there...

I just don't like it. Kind of like strait brim hats...
It just screams look at me and that color on a Vette is one thing...a Cobalt is another...
I had a feeling I would offend someone...
Not to speak for everyone, but if I had the money and could pay the insurance rates, I would have purchased a Corvette instead of my Cobalt...
I can get a bit of the Corvette enjoyment with the price tag of an entry level car...
The Cobalt is a Corvette for 20 and 30 somethings that will grow into a Corvette as they get older and accumulate some wealth! At least that is the case for me!
So it is OK on a Corvette but not on a Cobalt?

I agree with all of the above. Yellow is ok on a Vette. A true sports car.
I love the Cobalt SS, but it is still wrong wheel drive and based on an econobox. I'm not trying to bash it too much, but it is a compromise compared to a Vette.
