Question The "All You Need to Know" Series

I was thinking about making a write-up covering all the questions that people typically have about the SS/TC. It seems that every few days people are asking the same questions. Search sometimes isn't that great either I have to admit.

I was thinking about putting together a knowledge base of information. There are several good threads that cover a lot of topics, so I'm thinking of maybe pulling them together in a single, centralized sticky. Instead of making a mammoth post about everything Cobalt, I think maybe creating something more of a Table of Contents, organizing and listing topics with the associated links to them would be helpful.

Here's a quick example skeleton of proposed topics:

SS/TC Background
Engine Specs
-Intake
--Mods/Aftermarket
-Turbo
--Mods/Aftermarket
-Charge Piping
--Aftermarket
-Downpipe
--Aftermarket
-Catback Exhaust
--Aftermarket
-Cams
-ECU
--Inner Workings
--Tuning
Emissions
Transmission
-G85
.
.
Suspension
Brakes
.
.
Wheels
Tires
.
.
Electrical
-RPD
--Installing RPD
-Bluetooth
.
.
Common Specs/Capacities
-Oil
-Fuel
.
.
Recalls
.
.
etc

This will take a while to put together, but I think it would be a very helpful guide to may FAQs people have. This will be different from general Cobalt manuals because it will come from the point of view of the modder/tuner/enthusiast instead of a tech.

I'm looking for people that are knowledgeable in the different areas listed above as well as others. I may start several threads for the different topics for people to pitch in to the knowledge base so that information may then be taken and put into the main thread later.

Let me know what you all think and if this would be helpful or not.

This sounds like a great idea to me. It gets old seeing the same questions asked every day and maybe would help clear up some of the clutter around here.

The "All You Need to Know Series" is mine

I already made the downpipe thread and the tuning thread (with the help of Terminator2) and my next project will be the Charge Pipes thread but for now there is still alot of work to do on the tuning thread. Terminator2 also has a very good write up of all of the intakes available for the SS/TC. These are all found in the LNF section and they are already stickied.

There is also a good thread on the rims/wheels for the SS/TC.

If you want to help out write a good thread on Turbo's or Suspension or Tires.

Why would you even bother? There would still be the same amount of questions about the same **** that has been covered time after time after time....It would only anger the **** out of everyone who contributes to your thread. It is always attemted on every car forum, tool forum, fleshlight forum,etc.. and it just goes by the way side.
