Cobalt SS Turbo 05-25-2008 08:38 PM

Any negatives about the turbo?

I know everyone loves the new turbo, or the ones that have it already, however i was wondering if anyone has heard anything negative about it yet? The car seems to get good reviews all around, but just wondering from people who have it thanks.

originaladrian 05-25-2008 08:40 PM

ohh boy, here we go... to be honest i think the MS3 is close to the best FWD drive car on the market.

rudeone79 05-25-2008 08:42 PM

ill vote once i get mine and drive it.

06black 05-25-2008 08:42 PM

i can think of several downfalls to it, however an unfair advantage i have on the issue and the huge amount of brochure educated nut swingers will say theres nothing wrong with it.

its a nice car, thats it.

berto 05-25-2008 08:44 PM

ITS NOT RWD..::lol::
NO IDK..UHM WE NEED REVIEWS FROM ACTUAL DRIVERS ON THE STREET

originaladrian 05-25-2008 08:47 PM

no we need educated reviews from people who have owned multiple cars. not first time drivers, they have nothing to compare it to.

and owners will ALWAYS have a bias.

Acey 05-25-2008 09:16 PM

Chevrolet Cobalt? Best FWD car on the market?

price aint that much of a difference dont like ms3 so i realy dont care if it cost a little less than the cobalt and some people prefer coups instead of hatch backs.

and turbo's that are worth a dam across the main RPM range.....

davis98 05-25-2008 10:29 PM

Best in terms of what?

Performance... possibly, still too early to tell
Refinement... nope
Quality... I would say no based on personal experiences
Resale value... one of the worst

gio3 05-25-2008 10:33 PM

Let's not forget that ms3 does 18/26 mpg and thte cobalt t/c does 22/30 mpg and with gas prices getting high every day people will rather have a cobalt even if it lacks 3 less horse power.

Impact240sx 05-25-2008 10:33 PM

I like the new SS alot but MS3 over the SS anyday.

jasonbolt06 05-25-2008 10:38 PM

sports compact did a artical on the new cobalt and in there eyes they rated the new cobalt the best front sport compact in the us right now plus you wont even know what a 3 hp difference is cobalt all the way mazda is gay:usa:

mazda is ford BTW and the MS3 is one of the highest rated FWD cars in its class...

dirtydank337 05-25-2008 10:53 PM

the ms3 is heavier, uglier, gets worse mpg, slower (no way in hell will it beat the ss around a track), oh yeah and its a mazda stationwagon (girls car!) cobalt ftw!!

dont' forget the extra few hundred pounds on the mazda. in stock form, the cobalt will be a little faster in a straight line, and definitely a decent amount faster in the twisties. as far as modding? who knows. as of right now, untill there's tuning out, you won't get any power from the ss/tc over stock. literally.

those 1.8T beetles can be pretty quick

G85 SS 05-25-2008 11:09 PM

I dunno. The thing the Cobalt Turbo has going for me is it is a coupe and not a hatch. Now if the Neon SRT-4's were still on the market that would be my vote.

But honestly I can't say yes it's the best because I have never driven one. And I can't compare it to the MS3 cause I have not driven one of them. So I dunno.

fbaero10 05-25-2008 11:12 PM

lol umm are we forgetting the tc does have the fastest lap at nurnberg(sp?) so all and all it is the best car for the price. period
