Any other "old guys" buy an SS coupe?

saw a woman, probably in her 40's, driving an ss/tc coupe while in long island a few months ago. have also seen a woman in her late 40's/early 50's driving an ss/sc probably 4 or 5 years ago, and saw a couple in probably late 40's/early 50's bring a red ss/sc into the dealership for service a few years back when i was getting my car serviced. definatly been a bit surprised, but people will want a certain car then want more power.
myself, i'm 28, so i guess i'm on my way out for the target audience. lol. no plans to part with my ss/sc any time soon.

I have a 2009 Tint Coat Red SS Sedan. At 39, I am of course not the intended audience for the coupe, but probably was in the wheelhouse for the intended buyer for the 4 door. Married, with a kid, need 4 doors, but still like a little fun with my daily transportation.
The sedan didn't work out, and the body style only lasted for 1 year. According to GM Tuner source, there are only 68 red tint coat SS's in existence. So, other than myself, the car didn't do to well reaching its audience, despite all the car mag's raving over it. Of course, there were other reasons at GM that the car didn't last, but that's a topic for another day.
So my question is this, who are the other 449 other people that bought the SS 4 door? Am I the oldest? Did the car reach any of its intended demographic, or were they scooped up by 20 somthings that also thought it looked better than the coupe? Maybe I am "grandpa" on this board?
Enjoy the summer and your SS's.

Saw a silver Sedan at the auto show, and liked that it had more back seat room that the Trailblazer SS . The G8 GXP was killer , too, but waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more expensive.
That "like" turned into a have a few months later due to zero percent financing and a test drive of a '09 coupe my dealer had on the lot. The coupe rear visibility is ( IMHO) poor - the Sedan is easy to see out of.
I think I will hang on to mine for a while and enjoy the mileage advantage vs the Camaro.

27 in two days and I got a yellow sedan look at my sig, lol.
I didnt see the sedan like I guess they intended. To me the car is a cheaper FWD version of a EVO, STi, GTi... you know those 4 door speedy little cars and I like them. I mean I really think that was Chevys angle when they made it. And where I go for car days (H20i, muscle car week, etc..) you see alot of these kinds of cars with younger, youngish people driving them. I did not feel like it was a old persons car at all. It felt like a guys car that like to have alot of friends around and do some traveling while still have a pretty quick car. Yes it is way more practical than any two door ive been in. I always hated folding the front seat forward to through crap in the back bench. Now I forget what thats like . lol.
I use my back seats more than my trunk for grocery getting and picking up just from the store.
No offense to the coupe guys here, this just seemed like a sedan thread and he was looking for the sedan SS's purpose so that is my thought on the subject. I will always have a fast car by the way, no matter if im 27 or 65.

My user name says it all- I'm 73. After racing Mini Coopers for several years, I bought an '09 SS Turbo sedan to race in D Stock because it also has room to take the grandkids to their soccer practices. My son is very competitive against the '11 WRXs and Masda Speed 3s that tend to populate the class. I am slower, but I still manage to place in the upper half of the field in PAX. Hanging with you youngsters on Cobalt SS.net is very entertaining!

LoL Wow.. these old farts are Funny!! Wait a minute.. Doh! I'm over 40 too, but not quite an old fart yet :P I'm another guy who'll always have a fast car also.. can't stand mashing the throttle, listening to the engine scream, and the speedo staying neutral.. drives me absolutely insane. So turbo or lightweight car with V8 is my car of choice these days. I'm still tempted to get a new 'Stang, but damn.. so much more money for such a small increase in performance, if any at all. Shelby ok, but I'd hafta divorce the wife I think Boss might be doable, but I've yet to see one run up here and the bastids at the dealerships won't let anybody test drive one unless they sign on the dotted line first. I'm like.. F' that!! I've seen some bone stock run 11.7, or as high as 13.4 in the states.. same damn car.. how can there be that big of a difference?
I'd really hate to let go of my SS tbh; I mean, look at what happened to I Am Broke.. another factor in getting a 13 stang lol. Not sure I could do it unless it'd smoke my balt and give me a woody; if I could ever get into the driver's seat of one that is.
I drive an 09 SS coupe (sport red tint) as in the sig.

I'm 49 (50 in September) and the 07 SRTC SS/SC is my second SS/SC. I purchased a black 06 which I had given to my son for takeover payments. What's not to love about the balt. Fun to drive, good mpg, easy to maintain and work on, parts are inexpensive.
It can't spank my M6 but I love it as my daily driver. An engine will be in the car's future rather than trade her in or sell her.

My neighbor has a white sedan and he's in his early 40's.
I just so happen to have a white coupe that was originally purchased by a 65-year-old guy. The ride was too bumpy for him, so I picked it up with not too many miles on the clock. At 26 when I bought it, I think it suits me much better than him. And about the practicality, to me it's way more practical than the 2-seat pickup I had before it. I'm still getting used to having 4 seats, I'm not sure what I'd do with 4 doors.

47 here. I gave up on finding a Sedan (what I really wanted), and got an HHR SS for less. I am on here for the drivetrain stuff and, of course, the entertainment.

Glad I'm not alone!
Wow, didn't think this would spur such a big response. It's great to know there are enthusiasts of all ages (mine included) out there.
Call me crazy, but as the 09 sedan was a one year one off, adn they only built less than 500 of them, could they be a minor collectible some day?
