Anyone use these?

This might go into Appearance, but I wanted opinions or experiences from guys with 08-09 cars. These Nokya bulbs are supposed to be Stage 1 (stock wattage). But stock H11 bulbs are 55 watts, not 80. Any change of these melting the fog light pigtails?

I used Nokya bulbs in my S10. Great bulb. Look all over the packaging really well. It may actually be a 80w equivalent. Usually the S1's were 80w equivalent and the S2's were 100w equivalent. Either way I would upgrade the pigtails to Heavy Duty. They can be found at auto parts store for aroung $6 each. I have melted stock sockets with them before..HEHE

I have that type of bulb but I don't think its 80w. I'm sure mine is 55w. I'll check later today.

no, it's the OUTPUT of an 80W bulb while only running 55w. Marketing scheme.

The whole yellow light cutting through fog better is simply a myth. Trust me.

I vouch for this as I had yellow bulbs and felt like I couldn't see anything! I ended up putting a 6000K H11 HID kit into the fogs and man can they cut through the fog... I HIGHLY recommend an HID kit for the fog lights.

anything closer to sunlight will actually pierce through fog better than standard halogens. Yellow fogs are 3k, OEM hid are 4300k (which are the closest to sunlight) anything above 4300 it gets more blue, below more yellow. Halogen bulbs are generally 3600-4k at best

I was gonna get the 4300K HID kit for the fogs, but I went with the 6K instead only b/c my headlights are 6K as well. Just wanted them to match, and it looks really good.

Thats the same exact bulb im running in my fogs. They are AWSOME. im in love with them. and to "why would you want to run yellow bulbs" please GTFO. Just b/c you personally dont want yellow on your Honda civic in maple syrup land doesnt mean you have to make a stupid post that has no significance in this thread whatsoever. Yellow foglight bulbs are very common, as they say for fogs (which wanted said may be a myth) bit it is said they cut through fog better. Visually, you pick b/w yellow blue or white. They all look good to me.

And i got the heat resistant wiring harness for them just incase.

and wanted, why do you HIGHLY recommend HID kits for foglights? Seems to me to be a bit of a waste of money

I never said I recommended HID's for the fog lights. I was explaining the difference in Kelvin's and the myth about yellow lights and fog.

That was me that HIGHLY recommended them lol...I just said that b/c that's what I have. To each his/her own, I just have had both yellow halogen foglight bulbs and 6K HID foglight bulbs on my car and I like the HID's better...that's all I meant by that statement. It is alot of money for HID fogs, but by no means a waste of money...esp. since I live in Pittsburgh and it's foggy alot since it seems to rain so F-in much!

I found HID H1's from a reputable company for $39.95 plus $12 shipping with lifetime warranty; and no, it's not from ebay or some chinese place!

I have 5000K 50W HIDs in my fogs and headlights and they are very bright. I can drive by just my fogs if I want to.

I have to re-aim my fogs lower since I took them off to paint them. They sit a little too high.

I prefer yellow fog lights because yellow provides higher contrast on snow and other similar surfaces, this is why i also use yellow lenses in my snow goggles. Fog...I have no clue cause we don't have fog in Colorado.
