the automatic tranny lnf

I hope the hhr ss is not what is to come for the cobalts. I drove a HHR ss and it was among the slowest cars ive ever driven. Anyone else feel this why ? sorry to dissapoint any auto tranny lovers out there.

side note i have been under a rock lately but the zr1 has a tvs supercharger on it

You are aware that the SS/TC coupe DOESN'T and will NOT come with an automatic right?

And you should also be aware that the auto HHR SSes are de-tuned....

I don't believe the Cobalt with the LNF will have an auto. Not from anything Ive seen. Then again maybe I missed it....

Cobalt sedan will have manual or auto. Just like every other LNF vehicle 'cept the SS Coupe.

The car needs a five speed auto... I would say six speed but if the manual isn't even six speed then there's no hope. I think Sky/Solstice has a 5-spd auto.

No hope for what?

Do you know that the 6 speed you can throw onto an LSJ actually gets worse gas mileage?

the hhr ss auto is de-tuned like previously said and is also a few hundred pounds heavier than the cobalt will be. so a cobalt ss with a manual tranny, less weight and a more aggressive tune will be a lot faster.

Obviously I missed the word auto in your post.

I wanna hear you say that as one tears you a new a-hole.

That goes for one tearing me a new a-hole also.

Anyone that thinks the LSJ can even come close to competing with the new LNF, once HPT gets it unlocked, is just a retard. The Harrop blower will get you close if you do the rest of the supporting mods it needs but honestly the LNF is just going to demolish the sport compact market.

i'd love to agree with you especially since i plan on buying one very soon but theres been a lot of talk that hasn't been confirmed yet about the maxed out tranny. if infact the transmission is maxed out at 260hp/260tq then it will not compete with other cars in its class if they have any mods. mazdaspeed3s are putting out 263hp/280tq. srt4 calibers put out 285hp/265tq. lnfs are almost outperformed already.

Tranny is fine.

As for power I never said anything about stock power output even though all 3 new tuner cars (MS3,CSRT4,SS/TC) are almost identical in speed in the 1/4. They all trap 102 pretty much.

My comment about power output is that of what the motor is capable of once its PCM gets unlocked.

i kno the cobalt coupe wont have an auto i dont want it to. I kno the hhr is tuned down but its really slow, to slow. The is a pannel hhr on the lot with a manual that slaughters the ss.

If you're worried about mileage, why buy a F/I car. Sure it can be a concern, but shouldn't be primary. The car should have a six-speed, and not the one that goes with the LSJ that had a shorter sixth than the original 5th. 6th should be like 0.60.

Because I bought a 21k Saturn and not a 60k M3 thats why. The extra gear is more expensive to produce and weighs the car down more.

My car gets better mileage on the highway than a Prius and that's why I can dump as much fuel I want at the track. If I had a 9mpg Cobra then I would be a poor s.o.b.

Just because you get 30mpg doesnt mean youre not destroying the environment. If you truly believe that fuel mileage and how much a car actually pollutes are the same thing, well you're mistaken.
