axels HELP!

axels HELP!

has anyone replaced the factory axels and not gone to the drive shaft shop .. will any of the axels outta any of the other year cobalts fit the 09 ss .. i got aone popping on me and i dont wanna sped the 800 for a new set

can't imagine stock ones being much less. ottp has the axles and stg 2 mounts for like 800 on a combo sale right now

i got the mounts already im talking about like autozone axels if any of them from another year or model cobalt will fit the 09

the lnf axles are different. that being said i don't think there are any other options than oem or driveshaft shop. go thru ottp and sell the mounts to offset the cost...just an idea

What do you mean by drive shaft shop? I got my ZZP Stage 1 axles installed at a chevy dealership when mine pooped on me, they're cheaper then stockers too

lnf and lsj have different axles

U can get stock axles for like $180 apiece from gmpartsdirect.com

137.46 exactly...for the right side axle anyway they don't list price for the left side. it amazes me what oem parts can be had for cheap and some oem parts like a flywheel are 800 bucks. i figured that axles would be like 3-4 hundred each. good to know they are not
