Bag It ???

ok so im being picky again and cant really decide on coilovers cuz i read too many bad things about them, so im leaning towards bagging it... heres my thoughts,, as many of ya know, i have said may times that i dont need a car built for track racing OR the drag strip every other day... so IMO, bagging it would work, but i want some insight from anybody that might have them or know somebody that does... i think it would be perfect, especially for cool points... avoiding dragging the front lip would be easy, just push and raise, no scratches.. but thats that, i been lookin all over for a nice setup, but there is too many and i am clueless once again to what would work and be worth the money.

i looked at them, im kinda scared of them, or any other coilovers, i mean i heard about them busting and bein all whacky,, and im way too afraid that i will scrape with them.. if i bagged it, i could raise the front end up so i dont scrape, and still have a nice firm ride, and do anything with it.

you're scared of coilovers but you want air lines running all over the car, fittings that can leak, an extra ~100lbs in the rear, etc?

also john, if you had to go a good distance away you have a good chance of so bag blowing now iud you were turning your car into a complete show caR then I would say do it, but still gonna race it at time not so good. But yes being ale to go down a slope out of a gas station or something would be nice just hitting a switch, but my friend matt had that bagged black sonoma, ill give you his number if you really are serious and want too

lol well guys, thanks for all the input and all that, i jus think its narrowing down to how serious i am about avoiding scraping... kyle, you know how nashville/clarksville is, its impossible to pull in in style ANYWHERE without everybody watching and saying "wait for it,, wait for it,,, SSSCCCHHHKKKKKHH!!! OOOOOOO!! """ and about adding 100 pounds to the car, well, going with a better set of wheels would balance that out, such as enkeis and all them fancy deals... yes, having a air leak would suck, let alone a blown bag,, but, PRECAUTIONS can be taken, im very good at preventing leaks of any sort, if the kit comes with jus the basic lines, fittings, etc,, i would make sure i amped it up a tad bit... as for the bags themselves,, hey, as long as you keep them from drying out they would be fine unless you're INTENTIONALLY trying to run over razor blades and shattered glass or some lazyass's fork from his ******* subway salad....

Go ride in a car that has bags and you will realize that's a bad choice!! Especially if you are building the motor, going with a big turbo setup etc.. Just going to be fail

nick please explain the issues that you're thinkin about, i mean i dont know, would it really be that bad???? i only go fast in a straight line, so i jus dont get what ur tryna say lol so help me out here haha... would having bags with a 500 hp monster just cause somethin to break or you mean it wont be very steady/firm or whatever?

to me, all my car is is just somethin to feel good ridin in, always fun to drive, and havin the ability to fly past 100 without even tryin, i love shows, so ima show it A LOT, if the downside of the "bags" idea is lack of performance, i jus dont get it, it couldnt be nothin my own 2 hands couldnt handle, i mean really who is gonna be able to keep torque steer under control 110% on any kind of suspension setup... im lost in the sauce boss

They look hot but they ride like ASS from my experience. I dont think you realize how bad it will be with the setup you plan on running (motor + turbo).

Find someone local with a bagged car and take a ride.

i fully understand,,, it would be very very chancy especially for those days i just feel like i need to blast the bitch over 100 for a bit... but what the ****, really? i can see a bag blowing out if i were to hit a HUGE bump, or lay into a curve too fast and put way too much pressure on one of the bags, ((( 3000+ lbs +extra g forces going into a curve ))) yea, or maybe if a leak was present, but not taken care of, yea, could lead to a bag blowing out... but have ANY of you,,, well, nick i know you have,, have any of you ever seen how i take care of my car? how CLEAN it always is inside and out? if ima put money into the suspension on bags or anything,,, i would probly take my time checkin the **** all the time to make sure nothin is leaking/cracked/ripped/broke whatever.... but nick i will take your advice, and i will go ride in a car with a nice bag setup.... im just thinking that there is a lot of misunderstanding here... if everything was setup the RIGHT way, to ensure no leaks, or possibilities of **** gettin broke, everything would be alright, and for as smooth as the ride would be, if i wanted a smooth ride, i woulda bought an escalade...
