Cool BMW 135i or 2010-11 Shelby GT500

Which car would everybody say they would get for ocassional track car, daily driver and which you think would be more attractive? A friend of mines got the 08 335i its pretty clean for a beamer LOL. Im not really a beamer fan but the 135i is clean but the raw beefy look and sound of the Shelby is screaming MONSTER LOL. What yall think?

The 2010 GT500 is too heavy. A plain GT 5.0 is better. The 135i has brake caliper issues. The pistons aren't metal. They are ceramic and they crack and crumble.

Id take the BMW, raise the boost on both turbos. Get it hella flush and murdered out.

IMO, cooler than a GT500 any day of the week

just a pulley down, tune and exhaust work would spank that 135i even with the boost turned up.

id rather take a twin turbo v6 bmw than a supercharged ford mustang.

IMO if your looking for something in the gt500 price range

get a Grand Sport corvette.

I would get a C6 ZO6 over both. Or wait for the ZL-1 Camaro to come out?

Mustangs are like cavaliers around here, there everywhere. More than any other sports car, a dime a dozen. (kinda like the cobalts and the cobalt SS). They are just a forced induction version of an otherwise lame ******* car lol.

Also personally I think they are ugly and heavy and old man cars.

So sure, if I was 40-60 id LOVE the GT500 lol

IMO the BMW is obv more attractive/sexier car. And for track the 135i would prob be a better choice with the lack of weight it has compared to the GT500. As for daily driver .. again the beamer is more refined and would prob be the better move.

The 5.0 manual transmissions are horrible, they are Chinese junk and ford isnt backing them up. I know a guy who has gone though 3 transmissions with only 12,000 miles on his car. Check youtube as well many people have posted videos of their cars grinding gears and losing gears with only 5,000 or so miles on them. Not sure if the autos are having any issues tho.

go with the ZL585 or the ZL1

ZL1 has a 427 big block with a blower on it and puts out 750HP stock.

or the ZL585 is the standard camaro engine just adds a blower and puts out over 600HP.

both cars are already out you just have to give them to SLP + 80k (for the ZL1) or 25k (for the ZL585) both will smoke a GT500 hands down

For strictly track use, I'd go with the BMW (for how much I hate to admit it).

But the Shelby is going to be a lot more fun and better in every way the other 99.5% of your driving life.

For a car that you DD and occasionally track, I'd choose the GT500 every time.

the 135i is an inline 6 with twin scroll turbo (single turbo) not a twin turbo setup

when i first heard twinscroll turbo i thought it was a twin turbo aswell

but these cars boogie for sure.

i was at the track this weekend and 135i was walking over a bunch of cars, including an older 3 series with a supra inline 6 large turbo swap.

the only competition this 1 series had was a Nissan GTR
