It was not hitting 30 psi before on that same tune LOL. I think a lot of it has to to with the cam timing chain being off a link or two. His DALs are actually pretty conservative compared to RYRIDESMOTOX and Drewbroos cars and they are all hitting 24-25 psi. Once he gets the ported head on and the timing chain reset I will relog and retune it anyway.

It is. But VE calcualtion also takes a few other measurements, MAP for one into account.

read lots of interesting things about a ported head destroying the tuneability of it..

Just sayin..

The boost is holding flat at about 23psi now. I sent him an update with some more timing in it now and a hair leaner. We'll see how that runs. The 91 there sucks!

With just vince right now i at 24psi holding till redline. Took it out tonight had some fun. It pulls real good! It almost feels like my old setup lol. I hooked in second for the frist time in a long time and it felt real good. Might of been due to spinning the hell out of first and heating up the tires.

SO, I'm reading and watching this thread for a long time. Am I wrong in assuming that this is not going well? I was thinking it would be the same a throwing on a bigger turbo then retuning it and bam more power....I'm sure I'm wrong...

Its going just fine, this is the first tune for this turbo so it takes a lil initial setup. We have that part pretty well covered now tho.

Def excited to move onto the E blend, can't really press it hard with the 91, its just not liking it.

HHmmm thats weird, the regular turbo does great, but then again I'm running93 down here. I wonder why it's doing that. Other turbo kits don't seem to have that problem.

There's no problem we just have shitty gas out here in az that's why most of us are running straight e85 (LSJ) or a mix (LNF)

With something with the flow of a GT2871, are we on the borderline of running out of injection window for even 50/50 E85/91 mixes even with the HPFP dialed up to 2800psi?

Word on the street is that Vince is looking for a way to be able to shift the whole injection event forward in time when needed, creating a larger injection window, and allowing pure LNF E85 compatibility without "peeing on the fire". lol

I think even just with 91 with this turbo we will have a real good power band all the way to redline. With the runs I did last night it better power band then the reg gt2871 on the lower end.

I wanting to wait till u guys are done tuning with the car to see how it goes with e85 before I do the duel tune. I sure this setup can be real close or over 400 by a little with the mix.
