what boost is safe to run with meth?

Im dont think it matters how much boost. Meth cools the temps down for more performance.

 

so it wouldnt be safe to increase my boost from where its already at if i were to get meth?
i was told that i'd b able to run higher boost while spraying??

 

yeah you can but you will need a bigger turbo
you can max out the stock one without meth

 

yes but with meth we can hold the power longer with the turbo and most ppl do fine around 10% more HP TQ. and yes you can up the boost a few

 

Did you ever get your sensor problem fixed?

 

You can run 24+ psi and the meth will help gain efficiency back plus add octane. It's worth the money IMO.

 

I'm running 25psi right now on meth. I'm in the middle of data logging for vince right now

I did get a P2187 code the other day...I don't know if that has something to do with meth

 

i believe thats a rich code caused by the extra fuel from the methanol

 

can it just be deleted and I'm good or what?...or just wait for Vince to fine tune my tune

cool. Cause I drove from New York to Kentucky...11 hours and was fine. Stopped at a light 20 mins from my house and a CEL came on...I was like wtf...

 

If your running rich that is bad at least from what I know anyway. Maybe try putting a smaller nozzle on until you can get the retune.

 

Kit only turns on when I get above 10psi...which I don't do unless need be

 

your fine just let vince fine tune it. term is still getting mine dialed in.


im runing a 5gph nozzel on mine.


i have a progressive controller and mine starts to kick in a 6psi and pumps 100% at 15psi. it says in the manual to have it start at 25% boost and then full blast at 75% boost.

 

Yea I gotcha...I should have it turned down to prolly around 6psi too then. I got AEM kit...I'ma do some more dataloggin here tonight

 

I'm at 23.5 with full bolt ons and trifecta tune and vince wouldn't allow me to go above 23.5 psi because the turbo was @ 100% efficency. I'm now going byt/tf tune with meth and hoping I can put the boost up a little more with the meth. With meth gaining back turbo efficency will that allow more boost I couldn't get w/o meth?

 

Correct. It helps aid in the efficiency department.
