Camaro ZL1

So which would you rather have your current SS TC or the new Camaro ZL1. Consider all factors like handling and gas mileage and so on. Not just pure power.

Seriously? The only reasons I'd take the cobalt is purchase price and likely far cheaper insurance.

...lol

I am happy with my upgrade.... and mine isn't even 585hp, lol

I will never go back from RWD... my Cobalt was full bolt-on and 23psi... and I have no doubt on the highway right now it and my Camaro would be a good race, hell the Cobalt might even have edged it out...

ok now from a dig? lol

and I basically have 2 mods and a tune... with headers and the tune being the only "power adders", the catback is basically a sound mod... and as far as modding them... well, I don't think anyone needs a lesson on the aftermarket that is the LS based engines...

and last night I spent about $1800 more in parts, so its not about to get any slower, lol

this is funny...a 60k car or a used 15k car, hmm i wonder?...lol
Seriously, a gunmetal, or white with black wheels looks sick, and every magazine rates that car as the perfect daily driver "race car"...no contest in any way in my opinion...i wish i was blessed enough to make an easy decision like this....gl

ZL1 hands down. I just started to take the SS/TC to the road course and I love it, but the ZL1 is a track monster. Plus I store my nice car in the winter, so I really only have to insure it 8 months out of the year so insurance won't kill me, and I only drive 6 to 8 miles a day round trip so gas milage wouldn't make a difference either. You can bet I'll be watching what they go for used in a year or two. Either the ZL1 or the Z06 is probably going to be the car to replace the SS/TC.

I would never pick a RWD V8 over a FWD 4CYL.

not just that, its just superior in every other way. its not even a comparison, build quality, style, design, class, power, specs, year, handling, price, the camaro will pretty much take any cobalt in any of those categotires because you are getting what you paid for. The only thing the balt can out take a ZL1 is in MPGs and thats just plain obious.

I would RATHER have a Vette... How to answer your question depends on how I think about it. If I think about having to pay for gas, tires, maintenance, etc. with the fact that I drive hundreds of miles a week, I'm sticking with the Cobalt. If you were going to pay for all those then obviously the ZL1 (since you didn't let me chose a Vette...)

Removing the torque management in the tune is the key. That alone shaved a full sec off my stock 60-100 time on the LS3, I'm sure the ZL-1 suffers from the same nannys.
