You can ask vince to disable that cel for good, or you can try getting an o2 extender from ebay to see if it solves the problem.

Yes, but! If there is ever an issue that code will not come on, and you could wreck something.... IMO turning off codes is not a good solution. Fix the problem why the code is coming up.

Not familiar with their products, "maybe" it is how they position their O2 boss? Like I said I have no idea about their products.

Put back on your stock one, and if it goes away you know it is that item.

I didnt look up the code but its most likely because there is no cat there anymore. So if its a code for the downstream O2 I wouldnt worry about having problems with disabling it. It would cause about as much damage as disabling the windshield washer fluid light...lol

I don't think dejon did a lot of testing with this downpipe, i've seen the p0420 code pop up after 500miles, the position of the o2 bung is crucial. All the other vendors usually angle the bung at 45 degrees and pull it back an inch or two from the pipe to make sure no cel is tripped. I'd start with the o2 extender first, they're under $10 on ebay.

Are you sure it wasn't P013E? I had the same one but it came on twice and has been gone ever since . I'm wondering because 14E doesn't show up as a DTC on GM list .

no, it's fine to drive like that. The rear 02 sensor which is setting off the code is only used to monitor the efficiency of the cat. Mine has been broken for a good year. The reason you're getting the code is because of the hi flow cat. It's just an emissions thing.

almost any aftermarket cat and/or downpipe can give you the same code.

Yea someone needs to explain to me how "the proper angle and placement of the 02 bung" can make up for the fact that the cat is not there anymore. If they are just moving and angling it out of the exhaust flow so it doesn't see it anymore then it basically useless anyway.

basically by taking it out of the direct stream, it lowers the readings, which makes the sensor think the cat is working. The code is set when the reading from the primary and secondary sensors are too close to each other.
