CEL with gm turbo upgrade

Hey guys, For some reason my car is throwing 2 CEL's. One is MAP sensor reading out of range and the other is absolute manifold pressure sensor.

The car only has a gm turbo upgrade on it and that's it. It ran fine for a month from having it installed and now it sputters and shuts off randomly while driving. Sometimes i will be driving and it will sputter and have ZERO power, i'll shut it off for 5 minutes then start it back again and it will be fine until it messes up again.

I have a 08 HHR SS Turbo but i didn't get any assistance really on their forums but the motors are the same from what i know. This happened while simply driving normal at 50mph and never happens when i'm "on it".

Thanks!

Check if the lower MAP sensor is properly seated and facing the right direction. You're also supposed to cut off a boss which prevents it from seating. Look around for the install instructions. They're linked somewhere on this site, or you can just Google for them. There's a good chance you have a leak.

This and make sure the dummies wired it up correctly and the MAP sensor is properly seated on the manifold. As above, if they didn't shave the boss properly off the TMAP on the lower charge piping it won't sit correctly and we've seen numerous examples of **** poor wiring jobs on here..it's incredible how many hose it up when soldering isn't rocket science!

My car is having the same problem an engineer is coming to my dealership Tuesday ill let you know what they say. I think its because they used butt connects on the map sensor harnesses instead of soldering them then heatshrinking the connection. That little bit of resistance from the butt connects could mess up that signal I think. I'll let you know what happens.
